The Moonshine Bandits are a country rap band that formed back in 2003; they love David Allan Coe and his song “Take this job and shove it.” The Moonshine Bandits recently asked David for permission to remake the song and if he would sing it with them, and David agreed. David sings the beginning, then one of the Moonshine Bandits will rap with the remaining lyrics. The song has been partially recorded, but not yet released to the public. It will appear on the Moonshine Bandits new album next spring.
On December 2nd David Allan Coe will join the Moonshine Bandits to film the video for “Take this job and shove it” at Dillinger’s Event Center at 144 Washington Square in Bucyrus, OH. Management said
“We’re going to shoot some stuff at Dillinger’s and maybe some other locations around the county. If we go outside, it might be for some road scenes, them riding motorcycles or fancy cars or something, we don’t know. It’s going to be on the fly.”
